My tip for you is to speak the language of your German customers fluently – both literally and figuratively!
Germans care about detail. When we are interested in a product or service, we want to know all the ins and outs about it. If the content of a page or the text of a marketing message is obviously translated and doesn’t consider cultural differences, this is usually enough reason to go elsewhere where we feel more at home, or understood.
If we struggle understanding the messages directed at us, it is unlikely that we will feel confident that the business will understand our needs. And that’s what should be the ultimate goal of any business or organisation – to meet their customer’s’ needs.
