What are Website Call Conversions?
Website call conversions are a brand new tool introduced to AdWords in order to track and measure calls that are the result of a click on your Google AdWords ads.
This is extremely important to track as Google have recently determined that
seventy percent of all mobile searchers have called a business directly from search ads
How do Website Call Conversions work?
Google will dynamically insert a forwarding number on to your website. This means that, irrespective of whether a lead comes from a direct click or a follow up call, your AdWords account will show precisely which keyword drove that conversion and which ad they saw! This feature allows you to see where your leads are coming from with more precision and get a clearer picture of how much AdWords is contributing to your call volume.
A unique number is generated for each AdWords click, and is retained for 90 days to ensure that there is enough lead time for people to have made a decision to call your business.
How do I implement Website Call Conversions?
As with features such as remarketing and normal conversion tracking, we can generate a small piece of code in order to track website call conversions. This small piece of code will need to be inserted in the HTML code of your website.
